Prince William Swim League Divisions

The Piedmont Tsunamis are part of the Prince William Swim League (PWSL). The Piedmont Tsunamis will once again be competing in the Blue Division, the highest division in the PWSL, for the upcoming summer of 2026.

If this is your first experience with swim team, you may have some questions regarding the events, age categories, what takes place during a swim meet, etc. Events are divided into boys and girls, and categorized by the following ages: 8 and Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-18. Events include freestyle, individual medley, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, medley relay and free relay.

Prince William Swim League summer swim meets take place early Saturday mornings until approximately noon, from mid-June to late July. Meets are action-packed, exciting events. Participants at all levels are encouraged to perform their best. Ribbons are presented up to 12th place for dual meets and 18th place for tri-meets.
